My friend weds..........

Ever been to a wedding where you have the invite but without the girl's name?

That is exactly how i felt when my friend called me up to announce that he is getting married. He has given me the date, the place and said that i am invited for the wedding.

He has also said that I may or may not know her.. may or may not get shocked to see her as his wife...

These were the clues he gave me among others that i am pretty confused about.

The point is, the very idea of attending a wedding knowing that you know both the girl and the guy, but are left with guessing the name of the bride till the date of wedding..is exciting.

My friend is one of the very few who can come up with such strange ideas... strange as it may seem, it is great if you try to imagine one such invite.

I am still wondering if i should go ahead and guess. Why not go for the wedding and then wait for the bride to appear on stage ??

Let's see, will let u know about this experience and whether or not i could crack the Queen Code.

A very common question I got asked over the last one month's time by many of my friends. The answer has to be simple: I have a, b, c things to do or 1, 2, 3 places to go to or i, ii, iii work to complete... and the like.. Sargam - A 1992 Movie Review

This is a malayalam movie directed by Hariharan. Probably everyone in Kerala would have watched this many times. I got a chance to watch this movie yesterday. Brilliant make - a nice mix of psychology and music. I could identify, Vineeth, Renuka, Thilagan, and Nedumudi Venu in the movie. I wouldnt know the rest of the stars but I must say the movie has been done very well and is set in the late seventies or so it seems. Or may be the nineties itself. I would not know such a set up because I grew up in Tamil Nadu. The whole movie has been shot in a bungalow of old times. They call it Kovilagam which seems to mean Temple. I assume that the ancestors of this family had once been very rich and provided for the families working for them and lived a kingly life with great taste towards traditional arts. Thappad - A slap!

'Thappad' translates to Slap in English. I loved the lead lady's facial expression in the trailer, so I clicked 'Play' to watch the movie.  The storyline goes like this:  Amrita and Varun are happily married. Varun gets a senior role in London. The couple had been waiting to relocate to London. When the news of the promotion and the role officially came in Varun throws a party for a close circle of 40 people - professional and personal. The evening was fun-filled which directly translates to drinks, dance, food, and networking. The boss quietly tells Varun that the offer has been passed on to someone else, and Varun is going to stay in India. To everyone's disapproval and dismay, Varun loses his cool and yells at the boss and the other people whom he suspected may have had a corporate politics role-play behind the change of plans.
