T-shirt thoughts

Some T-shirts make u smile, no matter what mood your mind is in.This afternoon, I came across one such shirt with this saying:

Girl Friends are like medicines, they come with expiry date...

Not sure how many people saw a quick smile on my face, but I couldnt help thinking:

Probably the designer never thought of Ayurveda medicine and never believed that there are Girl friends who do graduate to 'Wives' and can still be 'Girl friends'. :)

For folks who are wondering about the reference to Ayurveda, it is a form of medication that is practiced mostly in South India. Most medicines in it, as far as I have known, do not have expiry date.

The "Expiry date" in medicines does not mean that they turn to poison or narcs... It means that after that certain date... The drug is unstable for human consumption... Risk is all yours to take... It will have un foreseen results if consumed.... Even in ayurveda there is a date.. only stuff is that its not published.... But u have to store it in a controlled environ.. U cannot afford to keep any drug in any environ.. each one has its haven....

Girls are like drugs... after a "Date" u will never know how they react.... u have to be with them at ur own risk.... If u want to extend the date... u have to keep them in a controlled environ... (parlors, shopping malls,.... )

A very common question I got asked over the last one month's time by many of my friends. The answer has to be simple: I have a, b, c things to do or 1, 2, 3 places to go to or i, ii, iii work to complete... and the like.. This is on the basic level and probably this question doesn't need too much thought or attention beyond this.. But, I did find this question quite disturbing. Sargam - A 1992 Movie Review

This is a malayalam movie directed by Hariharan. Probably everyone in Kerala would have watched this many times. I got a chance to watch this movie yesterday. Brilliant make - a nice mix of psychology and music. I could identify, Vineeth, Renuka, Thilagan, and Nedumudi Venu in the movie. I wouldnt know the rest of the stars but I must say the movie has been done very well and is set in the late seventies or so it seems. Or may be the nineties itself. I would not know such a set up because I grew up in Tamil Nadu. The whole movie has been shot in a bungalow of old times. They call it Kovilagam which seems to mean Temple. I assume that the ancestors of this family had once been very rich and provided for the families working for them and lived a kingly life with great taste towards traditional arts. Thappad - A slap!

'Thappad' translates to Slap in English. I loved the lead lady's facial expression in the trailer, so I clicked 'Play' to watch the movie.  The storyline goes like this:  Amrita and Varun are happily married. Varun gets a senior role in London. The couple had been waiting to relocate to London. When the news of the promotion and the role officially came in Varun throws a party for a close circle of 40 people - professional and personal. The evening was fun-filled which directly translates to drinks, dance, food, and networking. The boss quietly tells Varun that the offer has been passed on to someone else, and Varun is going to stay in India. To everyone's disapproval and dismay, Varun loses his cool and yells at the boss and the other people whom he suspected may have had a corporate politics role-play behind the change of plans.
